Description
In York County, South Carolina you will find a very unique historical village. Brattonsville is a historical experience with over 800 acres, 30 colonial and antebellum structures, slave cabins, four original homes, a Revolutionary War battlefield site, nature trails, animals ( sheep, chickens, milk cows and horse) and a working farm. Here you learn about the four generations of the Bratton family that began with William and Martha Bratton who acquired this land in 1766. It is also the site of the battle of Huck's Defeat in 1780. This photograph depicts a hewn log barn that is in the area of the farm.
