Description
This Eastern Bluebird was outside my house. The Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) is a small thrush found in open woodlands, farmlands and orchards, and most recently can be spotted in suburban areas. It is the state bird of Missouri[2] and New York. Approximately two-thirds of the diet of an adult eastern bluebird consists of insects and other invertebrates. The remainder of the bird's diet is made up of wild fruits. Favored insect foods include grasshoppers, crickets, katydids, and beetles. Other food items include earthworms, spiders, millipedes, centipedes, sow bugs and snails. Source: Wikipedia
I enjoy watching and listening to these birds. They have a distinct sound. "Their song is a rich, warbling turr, turr-lee, turr-lee. .."
There are many scriptures in The Bible that refer to singing a new song to God. Thus, I have put these two concepts together to come up with this inspirational piece of art. It is my hope that it gives the viewer encouragement to sing that new song!
