Description

This tri colored heron is in the reproductive mode. This photograph was taken at the Alligator Farm in St, Augustine, Florida.in Spring. During the Spring hundreds of birds are in mating mode, and fly to the area to mate, prepare for their chicks, and raise them. It is a photographer's paradise! As you walk along a boardwalk over a swampy area some of the birds are extremely close, to include the baby birds and/or eggs in the nest. It's a Springtime event you don't want to miss!
