Description
As I was approaching Kiev, Ukraine via train at dawn I was able to capture one decent image. As I decided to join the image with the brick texture/filter I thought about the things I had learned about the country and its history while there. All countries have beautiful dawns, and all have walls that have been built and walls that have been torn down. Walls in and of themselves are not evil. Usually ( but not always ) they are intended to protect, but they also bring a sense of limitation and lack of freedom when they go up. They restrict our movement which may or may not be a good thing. Whether they are spiritual, emotional or physical walls there comes a time to break down and a time to build up. Most definitely from the perspective from the train window I would not be able to see the beautiful sunrise over the the misty river if the wall had been there. Ecclesiastes 3:3: ..."a time to break down and a time to build". We all need wisdom when we should tear down or build up!
