Artist's Description
This photograph of Chicago's beautiful skyline was taken from Shedd Aquarium. The Windy City is one of the largest cities in The United States and is filled with magnificent architecture, museums, and parks. Lake Michigan adds to the spectacular ambiance of the city and there are a number of harbors which allow thousands to enjoy the best of both worlds...land and water! Water taxis take pedestrians from specific areas of the city across the lake to their destination, or at least closer to their destination. Chicago, Illinois' has one of the finest and oldest art museums in the country,The Chicago Institute of Art, founded in 1879. I was only in Chicago for a few days, but thoroughly enjoyed everything I did!
About Lydia Holly
I have enjoyed taking photos since I was a little girl, but especially began learning about the skill and art of photography in college; however, as years went by I, like most of us, put the camera in the drawer and would pull it out only for special occasions. For the most part, photography has been a passion that I put on the shelf; but now I have the opportunity to share with others some of my favorite photos, while exploring creative and new styles in photography and digital art. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything...animals, nature, vistas, people, architecture, and landscapes. I love it all! I am in awe of God's creation and ever so thankful that I have the opportunity to reflect a piece of it through a photograph. I hope...
