A pull off area in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park provided an opportunity to view a beautiful mountain river with lots of rocks and boulders.
I enjoyed the fantastic whitewater action and the challenge of capturing an image I could share with others. With over 2,000 miles of streams and rivers in the park you are constantly seeing beautiful nature scenes from your car, smelling fresh mountain air, and hearing the sound of rushing water! Lush green plants and trees surround the streams in Spring, especially when there has been abundant rainfall. You will also view people sitting on rocks, wading in the water, or fishing. It's a time and place like no other! "Living Streams " captures but a glimpse of these abundant waters that are living with freshness and movement... the waters that give refreshment to so many souls who come to see, smell and hear.
I have enjoyed taking photos since I was a little girl, but especially began learning about the skill and art of photography in college; however, as years went by I, like most of us, put the camera in the drawer and would pull it out only for special occasions. For the most part, photography has been a passion that I put on the shelf; but now I have the opportunity to share with others some of my favorite photos, while exploring creative and new styles in photography and digital art. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything...animals, nature, vistas, people, architecture, and landscapes. I love it all! I am in awe of God's creation and ever so thankful that I have the opportunity to reflect a piece of it through a photograph. I hope...
