This photograph was taken at Anne Springs Close Greenway in South Carolina during an Earth Day Celebration. The horses were not paying any attention to the people that were coming into the area that morning, but instead were intent on getting their nutritious snack from the grass and wildflowers. They were so at ease hanging out by that little lake! Water, food, sun and shade...they had it all! I have enjoyed looking at this peaceful scene for almost two years, but was not satisfied totally with the image until I added a filter that gave it a painterly effect.
