Artist's Description
I was walking about Susan Lake at Montreat, North Carolina during Autumn and was quite surprised that no ducks were swimming about as I had seen on several occasions. Suddenly a duck in the distance began to approach the area where I was standing. The mid afternoon sun was not the best for photographs, but I thought I would give it a " shot " and am pleased with how "On Golden Pond " came out, especially the water reflections. I added a filter on the image to give it a painterly effect.

I have enjoyed taking photos since I was a little girl, but especially began learning about the skill and art of photography in college; however, as years went by I, like most of us, put the camera in the drawer and would pull it out only for special occasions. For the most part, photography has been a passion that I put on the shelf; but now I have the opportunity to share with others some of my favorite photos,while exploring creative and new styles in photography and digital art. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything...animals, nature, vistas, people, architecture, and landscapes. I love it all!
