The limelight is definitely intended to be on this beautiful great blue heron as he flies toward the shaded swampy waters that is inhabited with hundreds of alligators! This photograph was taken during Spring at The Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida. Hundreds of wading birds ( herons, egrets, wood storks, ibis, roseate spoonbills, ) come to this area every year to mate and raise their young. It is a photographer's paradise!
