Description
The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth at approximately 1,000 feet below sea level and is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world. It is actually a lake and it's main tributary is the Jordan River. As the Jordan River's water is diverted at greater levels and the lake's water is naturally absorbed its' water level is declining. It attracts people from all over the world for the health benefits it affords and for the floating experience one gets when going into the water. You cannot sink in the Dead Sea because of the high salt content!
